Is a Duraliner the same as a Dual Liner? The answer may surprise you!
A Duraliner is a one piece drop in bed liner made by the same company as the Penda Liner. The technology for this type of truck bed liner goes all the way back to 1979. The one piece bed liner concept has been the same for over 30 years. A company that has been around for 30 years defiantly says something (especially in today's business climate) good about the company. Despite the fact that drop in bed liners have had some well known problems. The biggest of which is the fact that the drop ins shift around in the back of a truck and eventually wear the paint off. The other problem with a drop in bed liner is cargo slides around freely. If you jam on the brakes your stuff will crash into the front section of the trucks box, that's not good for the truck or its cargo.
These problems forced Dual Liner (a different company than the duraliner) to come up with a truck bed liner solution that truly protected the trucks finish, using hard custom fit polyethylene panels to protect the sides of the trucks box and a new kind of thick Zero Skid bed mat to protect your truck and its cargo. This new type of mat is made from high grade rubber which is very flexible (even when it's cold), it is thicker (3/8ths of an inch), and the underside of the mat has hundreds of soft rubber cleats on it. These cleats prevent the mat from trapping water underneath, by allowing water to drain out of the factory designed drain holes. The Zero Skid mat is heavy duty, it is reinforced with nylon cords, and will stand up to pretty much and cargo that you could possibly haul. Likewise the side walls, load guard, and the tailgate panel provide unmatched dent and scratch protection as well. By developing custom fit panels that are molded to the exact contour of your trucks sheet metal, Dual Liner was able to prevent the panels from shifting (which is the biggest problem with a "Drop In"). Both the Zero Skid Mat and the precise polyethylene panels are able to absorb large amounts of force, by spreading the impact over a much larger surface area. The Dual Liner Bed Liner System provides the maximum amount of scratch, dent, and cargo protection with out causing any harm to the truck. It acts like a time capsule for your trucks bed, preserving it as if you had never used the bed of your truck.

My husband is trying to find a new truck bed liner. He's debating whether he wants to get a Duraliner or a Dual Liner for his truck, so I think this information should help him make up his mind. I've heard some pretty good things about Dual Liner. It sounds like that the truck liner he should go for. I'll show him this information to help him make an informed decision.
